The Town of Brighton has purchased more than 26 acres of land next to Buckland Park on Westfall Road from the Faith Temple.

The purchase price of $1.2 million is being covered partly by funds on hand and partly by borrowing. Supervisor Bill Moehle’s office says it will cost a Brighton taxpayer about $4.70 per year over the next 20 years. In return, Brighton gets its largest park. The expanded Buckland park will cover 147 acres of active and passive recreational land.
