First responders revived a driver with Narcan after a crash Saturday evening at Calkins Road and Bard Road. He’s been charged with DWI and numerous traffic tickets.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says it was a two vehicle crash, and when deputies got there they found an unconscious man lying in a yard, being given CPR by a doctor. Henrietta Ambulance arrived and gave him a shot of Narcan, which revived him.
Deputies identified the driver as Paul Rivers of Brighton. They say he suddenly crossed into the opposite lane on Calkins Road and hit an SUV that was waiting to turn onto Bard Road. After the crash he was assisted out of the car by witnesses, staggered across the street and collapsed in the front yard where he was found.
Rivers was taken to the hospital with a leg injury; the people in the SUV suffered only minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
