The Brighton Central School District has fired a cafeteria worker after judging she had inappropriate contact with a 13-year-old boy.
Brighton Police say a 13-year-old student at Twelve Corners Middle School reported that a female cafeteria worker handed him a note that said “don’t show this note to anyone.”
The note listed the cafeteria worker’s name, her address, directions to her home and phone numbers.
The student reported it to school administration, who contacted police, who immediately launched a criminal investigation.
It was later determined that despite the incident being inappropriate it did not rise to the level of criminal conduct.
