Preliminary hearings for two of the three Rochester-area residents accused of plotting to bomb an Islamic community near Binghamton were waived to a grand jury Monday.
Brian Colaneri and Vincent Vetromile were supposed to be in court. They were arrested last month along with Andrew Crysel and a 16-year-old boy.
The 16-year-old was in court Monday as prosecutors argued that he should be tried as an adult. A judge declined to move his case out of family court. The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office says they will appeal.
