The Village of Lima has been forced to declare a boil water advisory after a broken water line caused the system to lose pressure this morning.
The Livingston County Health Department says that means untreated groundwater may have gotten into the system and could be carrying harmful microbes with it. To avoid a health risk, they say boil the village water for at least one minute or used bottled water until further notice.
That goes for drinking, brushing teeth, cooking and dishwashing and so forth until further notice.
