Rochester City CourtAuthorities are reportedly closing down Rochester’s Public Safety Building this afternoon in anticipation of a Black Lives Matter protest on Exchange Boulevard.

The local Black Lives Matter and Latinos United plan to demonstrate late this afternoon outside the Rochester Police headquarters.

In addition to the Public Safety Building, the Hall of Justice next door will close at 3:15 and RTS is re-routing buses that use Exchange Street and Exchange Boulevard.

This comes a day after several of the activists arrested in the East End protest last month were in court, saying video of the event will show police never asked them to get out of the street before moving in to clear them out of East Avenue.
