Buffalo places LB Maurice Alexander on IR and adds a veteran DT.

Buffalo Bills Insider Chris Brown provides the details. Here is his report:

Buffalo took another step to solidify their run front Tuesday. The Bills signed veteran free agent DT Corey Liuget after a workout with the club.

Liuget, 29, was just released by the Oakland Raiders last week after the club made a few roster moves. A former first-round pick of the Chargers in 2011, Liuget was an eight-year starter for the club.

This past February, the Chargers declined the option on Liuget’s contract making him a free agent. He signed with the Raiders this past offseason at the tail end of the preseason in late August and appeared in three games this season for Oakland.

Liuget (6-2, 300) is known for his run stopping ability and could provide some more stability to Buffalo’s run front going forward.
