The Buffalo Bills added another player to their roster Wednesday, inking free agent defensive end Bryan Cox Jr. to a one-year deal, the team announced.

Cox Jr. signed with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He was waived by the Panthers in 2019 and signed with the Cleveland Browns during the middle of the season. He played in seven games last year, recording 14 tackles and a half-sack.

His surname most likely rings a bell with older Bills fans, as his father was a middle linebacker for the Miami Dolphins in the 90s. Cox Sr. went on to be one of the more reviled figures in the Bills-Dolphins rivalry, including a double-middle-finger salute to Bills fans at Rich Stadium, spitting in the direction of fans, and nearly fighting Buffalo players in the tunnel.
