Cornerback Captain Munnerlyn will join the Bills, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. The team has since confirmed the report.
Munnerlyn, 31, joins the Bills having played under Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott while with the Panthers.
A 10-year vet, Munnerlyn has played in 154 regular season games, notching 64 passes defended as 12 interceptions.
The Bills recently announced cornerback EJ Gaines would be sidelined for “weeks” with a groin/ hip injury. He will now move to the injured reserve list to make room for Munnerlyn due to a core issue.
The Bills also announced a few extra moves as well.
Defensive tackle Roderick Young and OL Demetrius Rhaney have signed with the Bills. DT Robert Thomas (knee) joins Gaines on the IR while offensive lineman Nico Siragusa was released.
