Head coach Sean McDermott announced that LB Matt Milano has cleared concussion protocol and should be ready for Sunday’s game against Jacksonville.

Buffalo Bills Insider Chris Brown provides the details. Here is his report:

Milano medically cleared

The Bills have had a few players working their way through concussion protocol over the last few weeks. There was good news on Wednesday for Buffalo’s linebacking corps.

“Matt Milano has cleared the concussion protocol,” said head coach Sean McDermott.

Milano, who left the Week 10 game against the Jets early with a concussion, benefited from the bye week. He was able to practice on a limited basis Monday and did not have a non-contact jersey in practice on Tuesday.

Now that he’s medically cleared, the Bills linebacker is full go for Sunday’s game against Jacksonville.

Shaq Lawson nicked up

Buffalo has already been down one defensive end the last few weeks with Trent Murphy out with a knee injury. On Tuesday, another defensive end sustained an injury as Shaq Lawson suffered an elbow injury.

“Just late in practice he just tweaked his elbow,” said McDermott. “We’ll take it one day at a time right now.”

Lawson is not practicing on Wednesday. Fortunately, Murphy did return to practice this week. His availability on Sunday would be a help, if Lawson’s status for the Jaguars game is up in the air at the end of the week.

“I thought Trent had a good day Tuesday,” said McDermott. “I’m anxious to see him perform today and stack it on Tuesday’s performance. It would be good to get him back out there (Sunday). Whether that happens or not remains to be seen.”

Murphy has missed the last three games with his knee injury.
