The Buffalo Bills lost to the Indianapolis Colts 37-5 but the misery might only be starting.

The Bills (2-5) now only have one perfectly healthy quarterback on their roster ahead of their nationally-televised Monday Night Football game against the New England Patriots next week: Nathan Peterman.

Derek Anderson made his first-career start for the Bills against the Colts (2-5) and he was dinged up in the process. After speaking to members of the media following the game, Anderson appeared to have a limp.

“I don’t feel great right now. Not going to lie to you, I’m banged up, but that’s part of the game,” Anderson said.

If Anderson can’t go, Peterman might have to. If the game were tomorrow, that could be the case.

However, when speaking to WKBW-TV following the game, Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott was asked about quarterback Josh Allen. The rookie missed the game due to an elbow injury he suffered in Week 6 against the Houston Texans.

McDermott didn’t completely rule out Allen from getting the start against the Patriots.

“I don’t have an update as of before the game. I’ll get a better feel when I get back to the locker room and speak to the trainers,” McDermott said.

Monitoring the health of Allen will be a key headline to follow ahead of Monday Night Football. The health of Buffalo running back LeSean McCoy, who’s in the concussion protocol following Sunday’s loss per McDermott, will be another.
