The Buffalo Bills curiously added Buffalo Bulls quarterback Tyree Jackson to their roster following the 2019 NFL draft.
Not so curious anymore.
Veteran backup Derek Anderson has told the Bills he intends to retire.
Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane told the team’s website that the team had known for weeks about Anderson’s intentions.
“Derek let me know a few weeks back that he wasn’t sure if he could be committed [for the season] and wanted to still think about it,” Beane said.
The QB, who, re-signed with the Bills at the end of last season, will be 36 next season.
In two appearances with the Bills in his lone season, Anderson had 4 interceptions and 465 passing yards.
