With Shaq Lawson questionable for Sunday’s game, Buffalo used their vacant roster spot to promote a defensive end from the practice squad.

Buffalo Bills Insider Chris Brown provides the details. Here is his report:

The Bills made a move Friday to address their vacant roster spot. Buffalo promoted DE Eric Lee from their practice squad to the 53-man roster.

Lee, 6-3, 260 is a first-year player out of South Florida. Originally an undrafted signing of the Houston Texans in 2016, Lee was released in final cuts in early September. He was promptly signed to Buffalo’s practice squad on Sept. 5th.

A natural defensive end, Lee had trouble transitioning to outside linebacker in Houston’s 3-4 system. He has never played in an NFL regular season game.

Lee looks like a better fit for Buffalo’s defensive scheme. Whether he’s dressed for Sunday’s game could hinge on Shaq Lawson’s availability. Lawson will be a game time decision due to a groin injury.
