The Bills made center Mitch Morse the highest-paid center in the NFL this offseason. That’s one cause for concern with the latest news surrounding him.

Buffalo signed Morse, 27, to a four-deal worth $44.5 million. Less than a week into training camp, Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott announced that Morse is in the concussion protocol on Wednesday, after missing the past two practices and three total.

Of course the other cause for concern is Morse’s health, especially since he has a history with the injury.

In 2015, Morse missed a regular season game with a concussion and then he missed that postseason with another. Last season with the Chiefs, Morse missed another five games due to a concussion. He was healthy in 2016 and 2017.

With the notoriety of head injuries surrounding the NFL in today’s day and age, suffering his fourth concussion is a big concern. Playing armchair General Manager, it’s also a concern that the Bills invested heavily in Morse.
