The Bills have made moves in recent years at the trade deadline. Whether it’s shipping out guys like Marcell Dareus or bringing in someone like Kelvin Benjamin.
In regard to the current state of the Bills, Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott was asked on Wednesday whether or not his team would appreciate a bode of confidence in them from the front office.
The Bills sit at 5-1 overall and an addition could be viewed as something that’s a nod of confidence from the front office to the locker room. But McDermott said he doesn’t think that would be the case, though.
“I think [the locker room] know where we stand,” McDermott said. “I’m extremely confident in the guys we have.”
If the Bills do add at the deadline, it would likely be on offense. That side of the ball could use another playmaker to help the unit catch up to its counterpart, the team’s dominant defense.
According to a report from ESPN this week, the Bills are “on the hunt” to do just that, and could add a wide receiver. The Bills may need to act fast though, as playmakers such as Emmanuel Sanders and Mohamed Sanu have already landed with the Patriots and 49ers, respectively.
