The Buffalo Bills made a change to their practice squad Tuesday afternoon, signing wide receiver Nick Easley to the 10-man unit.
A former Iowa Hawkeye, Easley was productive throughout his collegiate career, reeling in 103 passes for 1,024 yards and nine touchdowns in two seasons.
Easley signed with the Bills after going unselected in the 2019 NFL Draft, making an impact in the early part of training camp. He was largely nonexistent in the preseason, however, catching just four passes for 41 yards. All four of his receptions came in Buffalo’s preseason finale.
The Bills released Easley as part of their final roster cutdown. He did not catch onto another roster following his release.
In need of a shifty slot wideout to complement the big-bodied Duke Williams on its scout team, Buffalo has brought Easley back. He brings talent and system-knowledge to the practice squad, and he could be a solid development piece for the Bills should they choose to keep him around for the rest of the season.
To make space for Easley, Buffalo released wide receiver Jordan Veasy from its practice squad. Veasy signed with the Bills last week after spending the offseason with the Indianapolis Colts.
