Buffalo spent time with free agent TE Gary Barnidge at One Bills Drive Wednesday.

Buffalo Bills Insider Chris Brown provides the details. Here is his report:

There are a few positions the Bills have not addressed on their roster this offseason in the draft or free agency. One of them is tight end. That could potentially change as free agent tight end Gary Barnidge visited with the club in Orchard Park on Wednesday.

Barnidge, 31, has played the last four seasons for the Cleveland Browns and has put together the two most productive seasons of his career in 2015 and 2016.

The veteran had a career-best 79 receptions for over 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns two years ago for the Browns and appeared in the Pro Bowl. He followed that up with a 55-catch season last year playing with a revolving door lineup of quarterbacks.

Barnidge was released by the Browns one day after Cleveland traded back up into the first round to select University of Miami TE David Njokku.

Prior to his four years with the Browns, Barnidge spent the first four seasons of his career with the Carolina Panthers where he served as a reserve tight end. One of those seasons (2012) in Carolina was also when Bills head coach Sean McDermott was a member of the Panthers coaching staff.

Buffalo has just four tight ends on their roster and only Charles Clay has extensive NFL experience.
