Sean McCoy and 2 other players go down with injuries during the game.

Buffalo Bills Insider Chris Brown provides all the details. Here is his report:

Regular season records: Buffalo (4-3), Miami (3-4)

In a nutshell:
The Bills saw an 11-point lead in the third quarter disappear as they had no answer for Miami’s new rushing star Jay Ajayi, who rumbled for over 200 yards for the second straight week, and led the Dolphins to a comeback win over Buffalo 28-25.

Buffalo’s offense had LeSean McCoy, but it was clear he was not 100 percent. He left the game in the third quarter with his hamstring problem and did not return. The offense scored on some short fields provided by the Bills special teams, but could not sustain drives down a couple of key players including Robert Woods.

Up 17-6 after Tyrod Taylor found a streaking Marquise Goodwin for a 67-yard touchdown midway through the third quarter, Buffalo’s offense went three and out on two of their last three possessions. Miami gave up yardage for time on the clock in the waning moments on the Bills final series with the ball as Reggie Bush scored a touchdown and two-point conversion with second remaining. Their onsides kick after pulling to within a field goal was recovered by Miami.

Ajayi had over 200 yards rushing for the second straight week, making him just the fourth running back in history to accomplish the feat joining O.J. Simpson, Earl Campbell and Ricky Williams. Miami made use of the stretch play and Ajayi was excellent at exploiting cutback lanes and broke arm tackles with regularity.

It was Buffalo’s first loss since Week 2 dropping them to 4-3 on the season.

How it went down:
-The Dolphins got their run game going early with Jay Ajayi rolling up 46 yards on five carries. The 15-play drive however, only resulted in a field goal (36 yards) and an early 3-0 lead midway through the first quarter.

-Buffalo even the score when a 30-yard punt return by Brandon Tate helped set up a 29-yard field goal by Dan Carpenter at the end of the first quarter (3-3).

-A blocked punt by Lerentee McCray set the Bills offense up at the Dolphins 40-yard line and Tyrod Taylor finished the drive himself with a 10-yard option keeper for a touchdown and the lead 10-3 with 11 minutes left in the first half.

-Andrew Franks pulled the Dolphins closer with a 33-yard field goal with just under four minutes remaining in the half (10-6).

-The Bills made it a two-score game when Tyrod Taylor beat the blitz with a 67-yard touchdown pass to Marquise Goodwin down the right sideline for a 17-6 lead with six minutes left in the third quarter.

-Miami pounded out yards on the ground on the ensuing possession as Jay Ajayi was unstoppable reaching 140 rushing yards in the game on a four-yard touchdown run with 18 seconds left in the third quarter. Jarvis Landry converted on a two-point attempt to make it a field goal game (17-14).

-The Dolphins took their first lead since the opening quarter on a 12-yard touchdown run by Damien Williams with four minutes left in regulation (21-17).

-Miami closed the game out when two defensive backs collided on a pass to Kenny Stills who went 66 yards for the touchdown (28-17).

-Buffalo added a touchdown on a one-yard run by Reggie Bush to pull the Bills and Bush also delivered on a two-point conversion to make it a field goal game with 19 seconds left (28-25).

Subplots:
-LeSean McCoy started and played despite a hamstring injury, but left in the third quarter and did not return after apparently aggravating the hamstring again. He had eight carries for 11 yards in the game.

-Tyrod Taylor was 14-28 for 221 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 35 yards including a 10-yard touchdown run. He had a passer rating of 91.7.

-Buffalo’s run defense gave up the most rushing yards in a game this season. They surrendered 256 yards on the ground with Jay Ajayi doing the most damage. It was the most rushing yardage given up by the Bills since 2013.

-Lerentee McCray blocked a punt in the first quarter. It gave the offense a short field and led to Buffalo’s first touchdown.

-Shaq Lawson made his Bills debut Sunday. He played six snaps on the opening series and rotated on the defensive line on passing downs.
-Aaron Williams suffered a head injury when Jarvis Landry blindsided him on a run play and was flagged for unnecessary roughness. He did not return to the game.

-Robert Blanton replaced Williams at free safety for the remainder of the game.

-Marquise Goodwin was entered into the concussion protocol late in the fourth quarter when on an attempt to make a leaping catch his head hit the ground hard.

Inactives:
DT Marcell Dareus, QB Cardale Jones, OT Seantrel Henderson, OL Patrick Lewis, WR Robert Woods, RB Jonathan Williams, OT Michael Ola.
