5 things to know about Josh Allen

DALLAS, TX. — The Bills landed the most physically-gifted quarterback in the class in Wyoming’s Josh Allen. Here are five things to know about the 21-year old signal caller.
1 – Farm boy – Allen grew up on a 3,000-acre grain and cotton farm in Northern California, and worked the farm with his family.
2 – Lightly recruited – Without any FBS college scholarship offers for Allen, he played his first two years of college ball at Reedley Community College, before he moved on to Wyoming where he’d start for two seasons.
3 – Big mitts – Allen had the largest hand size among QB prospects in the draft class. With his hand outstretched it measured 10 1/8 inches from thumb to pinky.
4 – Shared coach with Carson Wentz – Allen had the same college head coach as Eagles QB Carson Wentz. Wyoming HC Craig Bohl, after winning three FCS titles with Wentz at North Dakota State was named the new head coach at Wyoming in 2014.
5 – Finished strong – He missed two games late in his junior season due to a shoulder injury, but returned to help the Cowboys win the Idaho Potato Bowl over Central Michigan, and he also played well in the Senior Bowl throwing for 158 yards and a pair of touchdowns earning North Team’s Most Outstanding Player honors.
