If you spend any time on social media, you know that being New York’s only team, is a popular ‘feather in the cap’ used by many Bills fans.

Heck, even the team itself has played into the jab of late by the team itself:

Bills quarterback, Josh Allen, furthered the sentiment following the Bills 28-14 victory over the Giants on Sunday.

When a Giants reporter started to ask Allen about the possibility of having been drafted by one of the New York teams back at the 2018 NFL draft, Allen quickly interrupted with a smile and said something that was music to Bills fans’ ears.

“I am in New York,” Allen said.

The reporter then attempted to ask Allen what kind of player did he prove himself to be to the New York teams.

Allen was quick again to clarify, “one New York team,” referencing of course the Bills, followed by a wink. The joke that the Jets and Giants play in the state of New Jersey, while the Bills play in New York, might seem repetitive to some, but the fact that Allen and the Bills have found a way to start their season 2-0 after playing back-to-back games on the road, gives them the right to crack whatever sort of quip they’d like.

Apparently, it also means that the Bills now own the entire state.

For what it’s worth, Allen wasn’t the only one to reference the New York thing.

Bills defensive tackle, Jordan Phillips, posted on his Instagram account shortly after the win, exclaiming, “we run New York.”

Next up the Bills will play their first actual game in New York of the season, when they take on the Bengals in their home opener Sunday.
