The Buffalo Bills rounded out their practice squad on Monday morning, adding wide receiver Jordan Veasy to the 10-man team.

Veasy initially joined Buffalo’s practice squad in late September, filling the spot vacated by defensive tackle Kyle Peko after he was promoted to the active roster. He was released from the Bills’ scout team on Oct. 1, replaced by former Iowa wideout Nick Easley.

Buffalo re-opened a spot on its practice squad last week, releasing running back Byron Marshall on Oct. 8. Given his (albeit limited) familiarity with the Bills’ offensive scheme, Veasy seemed like a natural pick for the final spot on the practice squad.

A two-star recruit out of high school, Veasy played college football at California, never emerging as a dominant wideout. He caught 63 passes for 797 yards and nine touchdowns throughout his two years in Berkeley.

He signed with the Tennessee Titans after going unselected in the 2018 NFL Draft. The wideout was released in September of that year, spending the majority of his rookie campaign without a job. He was added to the Jacksonville Jaguars’ practice squad in December before inking a futures contract with the Indianapolis Colts in January.

Veasy has been employed by five different teams throughout his two years in the NFL. Though his journey has been a bit hectic up to this point, the well-rounded receiver with some size does have potential. He’s now one of two receivers on Buffalo’s scout team; he’ll have plenty of opportunities to impress the team’s coaching staff.
