A bicycle rider who tried to cross Jefferson Road against the light was hit by an oncoming car Monday night in Henrietta.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says the 21-year-old rider suffered several broken bones and was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where he was in stable condition. He was thrown from the bicycle and was found on Jefferson Road.
Deputies say he tried to cross Jefferson at Brighton Henrietta Townline Road when an oncoming car that had the green light struck him. The driver of the car was not injured.
