A Genesee County man has been charged with a string of crimes that began with a domestic incident in Bergen.

The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office says 31-year-old Elon Seeger stole a car during that incident and drove it at deputies who were investigating. He drove to Monroe County, where 16 minutes later he held up a gas station in Chili. Monroe County deputies spotted Seeger and the stolen car in Scottsville, but he got away.

The next day, Seeger held up a different Chili gas station. About ten minutes later, Gates police spotted Seeger and the stolen car in a Buffalo Road parking lot. Seeger fought with the two officers who approached him and poured gasoline on them before being subdued.

Seeger is charged in all three jurisdictions, including assault, criminal possession of stolen property, and resisting arrest.
