A Seneca Falls three-year-old is on life support while his mother and stepfather are under arrest for severely beating him.
Seneca Falls and State Police say they were called to an apartment in the village for a report of a child who had fallen down a flight of stairs. The boy was taken to a Syracuse hospital where doctors said his injuries weren’t consistent with a fall, but were the result of a beating.
Donald and Alison Bovio, both 38, have been charged with first degree assault. Court documents say both beat the child repeatedly with a belt, causing him to strike his head on the floor.
