A Batavia woman is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child…as the investigation of a fire that killed her two children continues.
The fire happened on May 20th. The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office says an investigation shows it broke out either inside or in close proximity to the children’s bedroom. Their mother, Heather Ace , is accused of leaving the children home alone for about 90 minutes without arranging for anyone to supervise them. Both children were two years old. The cause of the fire remains undetermined.
The 25-year-old woman will answer the misdemeanor charges in Town of Batavia Court on October 1st.
