Gruttadauria’s  Bakery is closing its doors after 105 years, and relocating from West Ridge Road in Greece to California.

The bakery shut down this week after 105 years and four generations of the Gruttadauria family, starting on Jay Street in downtown Rochester and moving to West Ridge Road in 2004.

Owner Mark Gruttadauria says the shop will open under the same name in Temecula California, in the wine country. Mark Gruttadauria will hand the shop off to his sons, who planned the move and say there’s a need for an Italian bakery there.
