Attorneys for Dominic Pezzola of Rochester, charged with taking an active role in the January 6th insurrection at the Capitol Building in Washington, were back in court Wednesday seeking his release on bail.
Pezzola is accused of forcibly taking a riot shield from a Capitol police officer and using it to smash in a window of the building.
His attorneys filed paperwork saying he’s being kept under inhumane conditions, including solitary confinement, making it impossible to participate in his own defense. Prosecutors argue he’s a flight risk.
The judge did not issue a ruling on Wednesday and ordered the parties back to court on Friday.
