The Livingston County Sheriff says an Avon man has been arrested on multiple violent felony charges after a home invasion robbery.

Sheriff Thomas Dougherty says 22-year-old Justice Watts was arrested trying to flee from a home on North Avon Road. He had cut a screen and climbed through an open window while the occupants were sleeping. The wife fled the house while calling 911 to report her husband was still inside with the suspect, who had a gun and a knife.

Watts was charged with four counts of felony first degree burglary, three counts of felony robbery, criminal use of a firearm, assault, menacing and criminal mischief. He’s being held on $50,000 cash bail.

The husband was struck repeatedly by Watts with a wooden club. He suffered only minor injuries and refused to go to the hospital. The gun recovered turned out to be a BB gun.
