The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office says a Buffalo-area woman was arrested after an ATV crash involving children.
The crash happened on Groveland Hill Road and Vanbuskirk Road in Groveland. Deputies arrived to find 51-year-old Sheryl Palermo of Tonawanda had been driving the ATV with two chidren, 8 and 10 years old aboard. Palermo had been going too fast and failed to turn at a T-intersection. The ATV went off the road and over a ditch, which flung the riders off.
Nobody was injured, but deputies suspected Palermo was drunk. She failed sobriety tests and was arrested for felony DWI and reckless endangerment.
