Attorney Ed Fiandach says he’s now back on the case representing embattled Rochester City Court Judge Leticia Astacio. Fiandach says he had a jailhouse meeting with Astacio, who told him her sister had fired him Monday night without her permission.

Fiandach told 13 WHAM  Astacio asked him to continue representing her in court. Fiandach says he’ll be in court with Judge Astacio at a bail hearing tomorrow (Wed) morning, and plans to represent her Thursday at a hearing to determine if she violated the conditions of her Drunken Driving sentence.

On Monday Astacio was arrested when she reported to court as ordered by the Chief Administrative Judge. A bench warrant was issued for her after she missed a court appearance last week. It turned out she was in Thailand and had been there the entire month of May without notifying the court or her superiors.
