Rochester police have made two arrests in a double murder case that began March 13th on State Street. They’ve charged 24-year-old Marique Simkin and 32-year-old Henry Phelps with second degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the deaths of 28-year-old Lonnie Keys Jr, who died on the 400 block of State Street, and of 31-year-old Charles Robinson, who died later of his injuries.
Police say Simkin shot and killed Keys, while Phelps shot Robinson and also shot Simkin. Additional charges against both men may be presented to a grand jury.
Phelps was arrested Thursday by a U.S. Marshals Task Force, while Simkin was already in jail from a previous weapon charge.
