Rochester police and probation officers have arrested 25-year-old Willie Wofford Jr of Rochester on charges including criminal possession of a weapon and criminal use of a firearm in connection with a November shooting on Durnan Street.
The victim in that shooting was hit multiple times, but survived. Investigators worked for two months to identify Wofford as the shooter and bring in the evidence to arrest him.
Police also have an update on a carjacking that took place December 13th on Norton Street. Police stopped the stolen car after a hase and arrested driver Keith Ponder, 21, at the time. Last week they arrested Shemar Johnson after identifying him as another of the carjackers. He’s been charged with robbery and grand larceny.
