Rochester police say 26-year-old Olajuwon Holt of Rochester was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with second degree murder in the shooting death of 31-year-old Parris Washington on Bardin Street. Washington was shot on June 19th.
Holt was on parole for a second degree assault conviction, meaning more charges are likely to follow.
Another man was charged with second degree murder for a stabbing death on Boardman Street in May. They arrested 55-year-old Dana Smith with the death of Todd Hamilton, who was found stabbed multiple times in the basement of a Boardman Street home.
Smith was take into custody by U.S. Marshals in Niagara Falls last month after he fought with them and was shot while pulling a knife.
