Rochester police have made arrests in two homicide cases, and also released the names of the victims in those incidents.
Police charged 46-year-old Shawn Appleberry with murder in the shooting death of Desmin Diggs, a 42-year-old Rochester man. Diggs was fatally shot early Monday morning on East Ridge Road. It was the 16th homicide in the city so far this year.
Also arrested for murder was Jackie Robinson, 43, of Gates. Robinson is accused of shooting 45-year-old Chad Wilson of Rochester. Wilson was gunned down early on March 12 in the Bay Street area. Another man shot by Robinson that morning survived and was released from the hospital last week.
