Brighton Police have charged a 28-year-old Brighton man as the driver who struck a Rochester woman on South Clinton Avenue late Friday night in a hit-and-run accident.
Brighton Police Chief Mark Henderson says Tommy B. Jackson was driving his foster-father’s car when he struck 29-year-old Destiny Forbes near the Tops Plaza and kept on going. The foster father, 90-year-old Clark McDonald of Brighton, later approached an officer with his SUV and said he thought he might have hit something.
Henderson says the evidence showed that Jackson had been driving the Nissan Rogue, and later gave a false deposition about what happened.
Jackson has been arraigned in town court and his being held on $2,500 bail. Destiny Forbes remains in Strong Memorial Hospital.
