An incident with a distraught man on Winding Country Lane in Parma ended peacefully Wednesday. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office credits its SWAT Team and Hostage Negotiation Team with bringing about a successful conclusion.
The incident began about 3:30 in the morning when Ricky Premo, 51, had a mental health crisis. The woman involved left the home. Premo was home alone and had a gun, so officers made contact and talked with him through the morning until he agreed to surrender.
Premo is charged with criminal possession of a weapon and was held on $10,000 bail.
