A Rochester man is facing murder and assault charges after police accused him of a shooting that took place at a New Year’s party.
Police were called to 10 Stout Street for a loud party complaint, but soon learned a man had been shot at that party. They found 30-year-old Arthur Stevens on the floor inside, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim then arrived at Rochester General Hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound.
Last night, police arrested 24-year-old Shane Jones on Jefferson Avenue and charged him with both second degree murder and second degree assault.
