Officers stopped two men accused of being involved in gunfire over the weekend in the area of Thurston road and Chili Avenue after being alerted by the city’s ShotSpotter System.

Rochester police say both suspects ran from offices who tried to stop them on Ravenwood Avenue, one man throwing away a handgun as he ran. 29-year-old Paris Washington-Futch was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and prohibited use of a weapon. The other man was released. Nobody was hurt.
