A murder last November 12 in Rochester has been cleared with the arrest of 42-year-old Corey Faison. Rochester police say he’s the man who shot a man in his late 30s on West Avenue, causing life altering injuries, and who fatally shot 39-year-old Stephen Morgan in the head.

Both men were shot in a parking lot on West Avenue where there was a shootout and more than a dozen shots were fired. The first victim was standing in the parking lot when he was shot. Morgan was in a car trying to get away from the scene when he was hit by a stray bullet and killed.

Faison was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with second degree murder and assault. The case is going to a grand jury, so more charges could be filed.
