A man described by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office as a “predicate felon” has been arrested for a robbery earlier this week at the Home Depot in Penfield.

The sheriff’s office says 60-year-old Willis Jones of Rochester tried to leave the store without paying for his merchandise. He punched an employee to tried to stop him in the face and knocked him to the ground before driving off.

Willis was identified as the suspect, arrested on Thursday and arraigned in Penfield Town Court. He’s being held without bail in the Monroe County Jail.
