A Henrietta man is being held without bail after a stabbing incident on Kathy Drive that killed two members of a Henrietta family and left one in critical condition at Strong Memorial Hospital.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says 39-year-old Rajab Banahi is charged with two counts of first degree murder and one of attempted second degree murder.

Deputies went to the family’s home shortly before 5:00 p.m. after Banahi called 911 dispatchers and told them he had stabbed members of his family. They found one person dead at the home and two others with serious injuries, one of whom died while EMT’s tried to save them. The third victim was taken to the hospital and remains in critical condition.

Banahi was arraigned Wednesday night in Henrietta Town Court and is being held without bail.
