Three armed men spotted riding in a stolen car were taken into custody after a chase Wednesday evening.
Rochester police say they were called to Polaris Street for a report of an armed carjacking, and found that three men pointed guns at a victim and stole his car. Just over an hour later, Gates police spotted that car on Chili Avenue in the city. The suspects tried to flee with Gates and Rochester police in pursuit.
The suspects crashed into a parked car on Hertel Street and fled on foot, but were caught. Police say this was a violent crime and they’ll release more information once they sort out the details.
