A 19-year-old who graduated from Arcadia High School last near has his name on the ballot for Greece Board of Education.
Derek Schrank is a journalism student at SUNY Geneseo, and says he’s running against the five school board incumbents because he believes there ought to be someone on the board who can better understand and relate to students. Schrank says he’s already scheduled next semester’s classes around school board meetings in case he wins.
School Board President Sean McCabe says Schrank is the youngest person ever to run for Greece School Board. The election is Tuesday, May 15th.
