The Buffalo Sabres 7th round 2016 draft pick joins the team from Cincinnati.
Rochester Americans General Manager Randy Sexton announced on Monday that the team has signed forward Vasily Glotov to an Amateur Tryout.
The 20-year-old Glotov joins the Amerks after completing his second season in the QMJHL with the Shawinigan Cataractes, scoring a team-high 29 goals and ranking second on the team with 43 points in 64 games. The 5-foot-11, 174-pound forward also made his professional debut last month with the Cincinnati Cyclones, Rochester’s ECHL affiliate, recording two points (1+1) over a 5-game stint from Mar. 22 to Mar. 30. Glotov tallied a goal and an assist in a 3-2 overtime win over Wheeling on Mar. 24.
A native of Moscow, Russia, Glotov was selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the seventh round (190th overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
