The event will take place at The Distillery on Friday, June 23.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Americans announced on Friday that the team will hold a 2017 NHL Draft Viewing Party at The Distillery on Mt. Hope Ave. from 6:30-8:30 p. on Friday, June 23.

Coverage of the 2017 NHL Draft begins at 7 pm and will be shown on the majority of televisions inside The Distillery throughout the party. Rochester’s parent club, the Buffalo Sabres, hold the No. 8 overall pick in the Draft for the second straight year. Eight of Buffalo’s previous 10 first-round picks dating back to the 2009 NHL Entry Draft began their pro careers in Rochester, including highly touted forward Alexander Nylander, who was selected eighth overall by the Sabres in 2016.

During the Viewing Party, the Amerks broadcast team of Hall of Fame play-by-play voice Don Stevens and color analyst Ric Seiling will provide live commentary and analysis. There will also be Amerks, Sabres and The Distillery themed prizes given away throughout the event as well as an appearance from Amerks Hall of Famer Jody Gage.

The Distillery, located at 1142 Mt. Hope Ave. in Rochester, features exceptional food, friendly service and a high-energy atmosphere with an extensive selection of custom-crafted local and imported draft and bottled beers! Fresh beer-battered Haddock Fish Fry will be featured on Friday along with 2-for-1 margaritas during the Viewing Party.
