WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP, PA. — The Rochester Americans dropped their fifth game in the last six played with a 4-1 loss to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Friday night at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza.
Kyle Bonis broke up the shutout in the final 2 minutes with his fourth goal of the season. Justin Bailey and Alex Nylander assisted on the play.
Forward Evan Rodrigues paced Rochester with 5 shots on goal as defenseman Tyson Strachan had 4 shots.
John Muse, playing in place of the injured Linus Ullmark, recorded 40 saves in the Rochester goal.
Rochester (10-16-0-1) was outshot by the league-leading Penguins (18-5-3), 44-27.
