Three defensemen are moved to a different roster.

The Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday announced the team has recalled defenseman Taylor Fedun from the Rochester Americans.

Fedun (29, 6-foot-1, 201 lbs.) joins the Sabres for his second recall after posting one assist and a plus-1 rating in two games during earlier this season. He appeared in 27 NHL games during the 2016-17 campaign, recording a career-high seven points (0+7). He also led Sabres defensemen in assists per 60 (1.16) and his 5-on-5 shot attempts percentage (53.7%) ranked 23rd among all NHL defensemen with more than five games played in 2016-17.

A native of Edmonton, Alberta, Fedun has two assists in four games with the Americans this season after signing a two-year contract extension with the Sabres in June. In 296 regular-season games throughout his six AHL seasons, he has recorded 157 points (37+120) and a plus-19 rating, adding eight points (4+4) in 28 playoff games.

The Sabres also announced the team assigned defenseman Zach Redmond to the Amerks.

In a corresponding move, the Amerks re-assigned defenseman Devante Stephens to the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL.
