Justin Bailey continues his hot streak by scoring the game-winner to beat the Wolf Pack, 3-1.

HARTFORD, CT. — The Rochester Americans rebounded from a heartbreaking loss in Providence on Friday night with a 3-1 come-from-behind victory over the Hartford Wolf Pack here on Saturday night.

Once again being outshot and outscored in the first period, the Amerks responded with a strong second stanza to take control of the game.

Rookie Daniel Muzito-Bagenda tied the game 1-1 midway through the second period off assists from Jean Dupuy and Vaclav Karabacek.

Justin Bailey tallied his 17th goal of the season in the final two minutes to put Rochester in front to stay. Cole Schneider and Brady Austin drew assists.

Tim Kennedy sealed the victory with an empty net goal with 1:02 left in regulation.

Linus Ullmark, who was re-assigned to Rochester on Friday by the Buffalo Sabres, made 25 saves in earning the victory.

The Amerks continue their 3-game weekend New England road trip on Sunday afternoon in Bridgewater, CT., against the Sound Tigers. Rochester returns to the Blue Cross Arena on Wednesday night at 7:05 against the Toronto Marlies.

The Buffalo Sabres recalled defenseman Casey Nelson on Saturday from the Rochester Americans, to fill in for Jake McCabe, who was injured in the game Friday against the Detroit Red Wings. In a corresponding move, the Amerks re-assigned goaltender Jason Kasdorf to the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.

Nelson (24, 6-foot-1, 190 lbs.) has nine points (4+5) in 27 games for the Amerks this season, including 3 points (2+1) in his last 5 games. In 15 career games for the Sabres during the last two seasons, the Wisconsin Rapids, WI., native has 4 assists and 10 penalty minutes.
