Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo says Rochester may not have gotten Amazon’s new second headquarters…but it’s getting a piece of Amazon all the same. Amazon has signed a lease agreement with local developer Frank Imburgia to locate a 70,000 square foot fulfillment center in an existing building on Clay Road in Henrietta.
Dinolfo describes it as the “last link” in the Amazon shipment chain and the first one to be built in Upstate New York. She says it’s the kind of economic development news that attracts other companies to Rochester.
Groundbreaking could be in three-to-six months. There’s no word yet on how many people it will employ.
