Monroe County Executive Adam Bello and Greece Supervisor BIll Reilich announced Thursday that Amazon is the intended occupant of a new warehouse being developed in the Eastman Business Park in Greece.
The warehouse will be a final distribution facility, built on more than 70 acres of land off Lexington Avenue. Construction began last week.
Bello said the proposal means 50 new full-time jobs and 50 part-time jobs, plus 400 construction jobs while it’s being built. Reilich said the town has been working for nearly six months to turn the Amazon project from idea to reality.
